Spilling the Beans

Campaigning is challenging and requires a strong ethical foundation. Despite recovering from ankle surgery, I remained committed to engaging directly with residents, delivering materials in person. Hearing, “You are the first person in a decade to come to my door to talk,” reinforces the importance of genuine community connection.

Transparency is non-negotiable for me. I am committed to full disclosure. To keep my soul clean, I am spilling the beans.

  1. Brant’s sign bylaws are clear: multiple signs are only permitted on properties with more than 500 metres of frontage or on corner lots. Signs must not face the road unless at campaign headquarters, and must be set back at least 2 metres from any road or curb.

  2. It is expected that municipal platforms will share similarities, but the repetition of identical phrases is notable.

  3. I do not tolerate verbal attacks on candidates or the destruction of personal property.

  4. Candidates who engage in personal attacks or undermine others on social media, even indirectly, do not represent the standards I expect on council.

  5. Social media group 'admins' rules: Self-promotion

  6. Commenting on other candidates is inappropriate. Accountability starts with acknowledging this and committing to higher standards.

  7. All candidates are required to pay admission to the Burford Fair. Adhering to these rules demonstrates respect for our community.

  8. Candidates must present clear platforms from the outset. In Ward 4, most candidates, particularly the women, are well-prepared.

  9. I do not mix community events with politics. Meet and greet opportunities should be scheduled outside of event hours to respect the integrity of both. At the Burford Fair, this could have been done at 11am, when the gates opened for the Horse show.

  10. My Plan/Platform is Me the one who will make statements and stand by their word - my second vote is Robert Chambers - you have 2 votes for Councilor!

In the corporate world, I succeed by relying on truth, determination, and perseverance. I do not compromise on integrity.

My platform and plan remain unchanged. I developed them with the Ward 4 community in mind, presented them on July 31st, and had the County of Brant Chamber of Commerce confirm them on September 30th.

Working together to make Brant County an agriculture hub

“Develop innovative environmental infrastructure to protect the remaining 5% of Ontario's farmland in the County of Brant and nearby counties. Collaborate with industrial and commercial partners, local and provincial organizations, businesses, farms, and leading universities such as the University of Guelph and McGill University to advance agriculture in the County. Implement residential growth plans that preserve the County’s beauty, heritage, and character, while enhancing agritourism in all wards and villages. Through collaboration, the County of Brant can become Ontario’s new agricultural hub.” Published September 30th

Education on How to Vote

On my website, social media, and in my trifold, because not everyone has internet access!

Smart development with character: Heritage of Ward 4

“My top priority is to protect our natural heritage and environment. I will continue to oppose any proposals that diminish these resources. Municipal water and sewage are not required in Ward 4. I will work to develop community resources, including a library, medical services, and EMS.”

I have consistently communicated my commitment to a full compliance audit of the County of Brant, both before and during my campaign, and in writing to the Brant Chamber of Commerce.

“The main challenges and opportunities involve integrating experience with innovation, fostering collaboration, prioritizing education, ensuring effective staffing, and maintaining strong planning and compliance.”

“A comprehensive financial audit of the past 10 years and future projections is necessary before I can provide an informed comment on the validity of these figures.”

Operational audits reveal facts that are not available online. I rely on evidence, not assumptions or misinformation. My values and integrity are non-negotiable. If you seek transparency, choose the candidate who stands by her word.

I look forward to meeting you at upcoming local events and in your neighbourhood. I welcome every opportunity to discuss your concerns and priorities.

Proud to be Part of the County of Brant and Burford!
